Akasha was born as a project between 3 builders from Barcelona to break down the three major barriers that prevent most people from having access to this magical instrument and sharing the unique moments it gives us.

  • Price

Most people cannot afford to spend €1,000 or €1,500 to buy an instrument they don't even know how to play yet, no matter how much they like the sound.

  • Learn

Outside of major cities, it is very difficult to find a teacher to learn to play the instrument, and even if we find one, it is a significant expense.

  • Community

It's very difficult to connect with people close to you who have a handpan, and even if we did, it's most likely that the handpans are of different keys, so they couldn't play together.

That's why we set to work developing new techniques that would allow us to provide solutions to each of these problems.

  • Price

Offer the instruments as cheaply as possible without sacrificing sound quality, because there's no point in having a handpan if it sounds bad and can't stay in tune.

  • Learn

We offer a free course with our instruments so that people who decide to buy one can learn to play it easily, intuitively, and without it being an extra expense.

  • Community

Offer only tones that complement each other, and in this way ensure that if two members of our community want to play together, they can do so.

In this way we have broken down the biggest barriers to entry that almost everyone faces when starting out in the world of the handpan and becoming part of a community of people who love this instrument and enjoy the unique and unrepeatable moments it offers us.
